When asked about Senator Me- Laurin’e condition, be said that the Senator’s trouble was nervous prostration brought on by over work, that his physician advised complete rest, and that at all events it would be several days before be could join the Senatorial campaign party. This morning the governor left Senator MoLaurin resting com fortably and doing well, but as there are only eight meetings to be held it seems extremely doubtful whether he will be able to join the campargn party at all. Ellerbe was here a few minutes this morn ing en route to his home in Ma rion. . He had just lift Senator McLaurin at Bennettsville with whom he spent the day yesterday. The governor was seen at the depot by a representative of the Daily Times. He was in an ex cellent humor, and talked pleas antly upon topios of general inter est. With reference to his trip home he said that he supposed he oould reet for a few days iu Ma rion, ae he waa dubbed the “jay bird” governor anyway. He said furthermore that he could ae well have no one dependent upon them, but will themselves be dependent upon others.
