Hodge and children who have been visiting the form er’s sister, Mrs. Julia L. Hinds, returned to their home this morn ing. Mr. E. M. Ham, of Ebenezer is in town to-day. He says that his section was visited last Sunday by one of the worst storms that he ever witnessed. Among the excursionists this morning for Wilmington were : Mrs. O. L. Morgan, Mr. Luke B'•ogdon, Fernie Morgan, Walter White, and D. H. Walsh and family. Mr. F. L. Willcox is much im proved to-day. He was seen by a representative of the Times this morning and stated that as soon as he was able to make the trip he would go to the mountains. Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Penny left this morning for Ocean View, N. C., where Mrs. Penny and the children will remain the rest of the summer. Mr. Penny will go ^orth in a few days to purchase lis fall stock.
