They go on sale at Kirk Pontiac-Cadillac on September 21. “Heart of the performance- uiiraDillty story for the 1968 models is Cadillac's completely new engine. We have capitaliz ed on our 53 years of V-8 engine design and manufactur ing experience to produce an engine to satisfy the needs of our Cadillac owners," Mr. Kirkegard pointed out. Cadillac’s 1968 styling - adds new distinctiveness to all 11 models. The front end features a new grille with a new header bar and thinner and narrower grille fins. These provide a more finely-tailored appear ance although retaining the traditional cross-hatch design. The side view Is accented by a strong design line which starts at the top of the front fender and extends downward to the rear of the car. Rear styling features a new fully chromed bumper and a new deck lid, similar to the Eldorodo which provides added elegance in action! luggage space. Dramatic front end styling changes to Cadillac’s 1968 Fleetwood Eldorado include new parking lamps located in the leading edges of the front fenders.
