The sad news was received on last . Tuesday of the death the night before of Mis-; Mary Moore, sister of Dr. ( Moore and Rev. Chalmers Moore, pastor of the Presbyterian church at ( this place. It was a shock to every- y one, as it was entirely unexpected. Miss Moore was a thoroughly good young woman, and was loved by all who knew her. r About a year ago she received an * appointment from the I'nited States I ] government to teach in the Indian schools, for which work she had espe- ( cially prepared herself. She taught, last year in Montana, but on account * of the severity of the climate, got a transfer this year to Oklahoma Terri- t tory, where she was teachinc in tim - Indian schools when she died.
