The boiler ia supplied from two well* connected at the bottom by a pipo which conveys the water from one well to the ?lher. Everything waa in exeellent working order, and it waa really a ploasing aiglit to see the rapidity with which the aaw whined through tlm heavy pieooa of timber. The lumber ia placed on ear? rmdy to receive it as fast aa it sawed ; the first clat>s on one car, the socond and third class on another, and the sprplus olaba on another ; each car having ita own separate track. These cars are un loaded twice every day. the lumber be ing nicely assorted and piled for market and to season. The saw-dust* ia con veyed from under the aaw by an Archi* medits screw, built at the mill and tho. only one in the oounty. This mill can readily aaw from thiity to forty logs per day ;and, were it not for the time oc cupied in "sorting," could turn out six or eight thousand feet'a day. Messrs. Reed k Burt expect to have at least 400,000 feet of first class lumber in time for the fall trade. There ia also a first clusa grist mill, with all the most modern improvement", in connection with their business, which is capable of grinding fifteen bushels per hour. Three carts are constantly engaged in hauling lumber to Camden and else where. It ia claimed by some who know that this mill has sawed more lumber since it started than any other mill which has been run in this county, in the same length of time. Tho business is conducted on tho "goahcod"' princi ple, aud we do not hesitate to pronounce this a first class lumber mill in every respect: tho lumber being cut from vir gin yollow pine.
