The County Board of Commissioners on Monday decided that *'Still Water" is the nroner location for the new sreel bridge to be erected over the ' Saluda river. The action of the board ? was unanimous, this decision having ' been reached after giving the mat er t long and careful consideration. When the bocrd met on September ' 15th bids were opened for the con struction of the bridge, seyeral bridge companies having represent itives j present, all of whom had figured ou t the two propositions?Amick's Ferry and "Still Water''?and all of whom submitted plans and bids for the two sites. The several bids and plans were considered on Monday. Having decided that "Still Water" was the better lo- , cation, the board agreed upon Plan . "G," drawn by C. W. Curry, representing Austin Brothers of Atlanta, as ? behg the best proposition, the price ^ being $9,026.00.
