As part of USC's Year of the Arts celebration, Benson will teach a year-long course on film-making. "This is an exceptional opportunity for students to work with so iiicuiic wnu s aireauy esiaonsneu in the film industry," said Dr. C.R. Brasington, chairman of USC's media arts department. "This should open doors into the industry that have never before been open to USC students." During the fall, Benson will teach students how a movie set operates during production. Students will write, edit and shoot a series of scenes and also will get the chance to act and direct. The spring session will be devoted to making a feature film, "Modern Love," written by Benson.
