Act I Theatre pi vintage musical From Staff Reports Victor Herbert's "Babes in Toyland," a musical intended for all ages, is the holiday season offering at West Columbia's Act 1 Theatre. Written in 1903, the play brings to life memorable characters along the lines of Mother Goose structure. The plot centers on a villain who tries to profit by releasing all of the world's evil. The evil is stuffed in a box hidden away in fictional Toyland by a toymaker who wants only good for children everywhere.
