The Baltimore Colts, who selected Brown in the 15th round, indicated they would ini tially look at him as a defensive back. "They told me I would have a chance to work out as a return specialist and some as ? a wide receiver, but that I would be working at defensive back mostly," said the Jonesville, N.C. native. "They asked me which one I would prefer to play," said Brown. "But I just want to play anywhere I can. "When I first came here to Carolina, I had never played receiver but they told me that was where they wanted me to play so I took the job." And Brown took the job rather well.
