Chine Chinese week ended Saturday night with more than,520 people attending the Chinese Lunar New Year Banquet celebrating the Year of the Ox. The menu included green pepper and steak, a fried shrimp ball, red chicken, fried pork buns, longon porridge and hot tea. While silver was provided, guest at least attempted to use chopsticks. A chorus of eight University stu dents sang several new year songs including "Gonshi," the Chinese equivalent of "Auld Lang Syne." The Golden Lion was about fifteen feet long and had been ordered from Taiwan espe cially for the occasion. The dance was performed by Peter Chow, President of the Chinese Students Association, and master of cere monies, Jason Wu. They will also travel to other states in the Southeast with the Golden Lion. . The Four Chinese Intellectuals, a group organized for the banquet, sang "The Old Cottonfields Back Home."
