inik Spots At Bedtime BY B. B. SHOTS If You Don't See Red You Are Color Blind We aren't all het up this week... even gazing at this red ink doesn't make ais want to expose anybody... all we wish to talk about is soiething lovely and nice... Neoma, Newsome? No. Hedy Lamarr? No. Hamburgers with onions? No... all we can talk and think about these (lays is the delightful promise that Coach Ted Petoskey left with us before he left for a. Toronto baseball training camp... the fact that we are going to have a winning basketball team next season? No, that's not it, guess again...that he's going to teach his' theory of living in a special class to all hard-working and willing stu dents?... No, try again... now pay close attention, here's what the popular coach said. . ."I am going to have something next year and it's not going to be a. two-by-four outfit either on the basketball court."...that's what he said and 'twats very subtle you bet...notice he didn't say he would haye a. winning ball-club, but he would not have a two-by-four cage team... that's good as the prophet's stand-by that "somebody will win", when Carolina and Clemson sIuare off... renembier you two when you read this that this red ink does crazy things to one when he stares at it for a long time. .g. Roses Are Red Except In Iceland Speaking of seeing red this columnist did Tuesday night when the Delta Delta Delta sorority girls lost a basketball game to Columbia college...why can't our school import some talent and win games like the other big name colleges...why in the-(name of common sense)-gee you got fooled that time. dear reader, mother-can't we get some Kathleen Kellys or why can't the Craigs have a few sisters?., .tsk, it's disgust ..... Opportunity-The Old Buzzard Lingers And Knocks Only Once Speaking of seeing things this writer just saw the picture below-not on paper but the real thing-and so we're putting up an out-to-lunch sign. ..even the typewriter refuses to click but all the keys stick up and stare. ..we're not only going to stare but are going to make the most of a promising situation... Engagement With Fencers Postponed Baby Blue Shirt Aids Hero In Thrilling Win Riding his red-wheeled, one seated bicycle-built-for-tw:o like a whirling dervish, Bubba Epps took first -place in the state bicycle meet held qn the track surrounding the University campus front, this week. Epps wore a delightful ensemble. of tweed riding pants, baby blue chemise shirt which natched his twinkling azure eyes, and a red rose-galand in his hair. -Outstanding was the fact that the University fencers, who appeared in a body like Clemson Cowdets, did no violence during the running of the meet. The fencers enraged since the cy clists received a block "C" this year and they didn't, were expected to raise havoc with the meet. At va rious times several were seen cast ing evil glances at the tires on the cyclist's steeds and fingering their swords and daggers. This ileet is to be held annual ly on the local track if one is to be lieve Mr. Jack Crawford, director of the meet. This, however, is not recommended by your correspon dent. "I plan to have a major spois carnival here next year," Mr. Craw ford promised seriously. In it I will have a horse-shoe throwing contest, a Tiddley-winks meet, com petition in parlor games and an apple-bobbing try-out.
