The principal social event which has occurred here in some time was the miscellaneous shower given by Miss Providence Graham on Satnrd&y afternoon from 3:30 till 7 for Mrs. William B. Courtney, one of the fall brides. The guests were greeted by Miss Graham and Mrs. Courtney and then served with delioions fruit punch from a pretty appointed table in the hall by little Misses Grace Oliver and Myrtle decklay. They were then ahown into the parlor and a contest, 'Sweethearts," was entered into.
