The time was takei up with the election of officers, whi are as follows: President, Clanc; Perry; vice president, Claude John son; recording secretary, El la Russel Poston; treasurer, Steve Chapman critic, Edith Perry; censor, Louis Eaddy; marshals, Albert Mae Eadd and James Hanna. The subject for debat was: "Resolved, That Athletic Cor tests Should Be Prohibited betwee: Schools". The judges decided in fa vor of the negative. Great interes was taken in this debate. We hav twenty-three members on the roll a present, and with the co-operatio of each member we hope to accorr plish much good work. An insurance agent visited the school last week and advised that more insurance be taken on the school building and that a fire escape be built. The girls have begun to practice basketball regularly now and hope cnnn tn nlav a match crame. The high school boys have almost completed their baseball diamond just back of the girls' court. A list of the rules and regulations used in the school has been published, and anyone who wishes to understand or investigate any part of the system will be furnished a copy free. The monthly teachers' meeting was held last Thursday afternoon. The subject for discussion was, "Reading". A paper was read by Miss Erckmann.then the subject was informally discussed by all the teachers. We hope to derive much profit from these meetings this session. The Wee Nee Literary society held its regular meeting Friday, October 6. The subject for debate was: "Resolved, That People Should Eat Less Meat and More Vegetables".
