Judge H A M Smith,in the United Statesdistrict court, hashanded down a decree and order in the case of H M Ayer, trustee of the McLendonCole company,bankrupts, against the First National Hank of Olanta,which will probably be a precedent in such cases hereafter. It was a case in which the trustee held that the bank had reasonable knowledge of the condition of the aforesaid bankrupt company and accepted payment of notes in violation of the federal statute of bankraptcy.
