The, boys and girls are very busy preparing their declamations i for the pieliminary contest, which is to be in April. A number of the school girls, both the little ones and larger girls, are practicing this week ]* . for a drill, which will be presented at the opera house next Friday night along with the play, "The daughters of the . - Confederacy." The play will be given by local talent and the' . whole entertainment, though ftL gotten up rather hurriedly, will be well-worth attending.
