The ladies were then allowed a few minutes to make engagements with the young men and at the sound of a bell each couple found a "cozy corner" and began the discussion of the first subject. At the end of live minutes the bell was again sounded and the ladies found their partners for the next topic, and so the fun continued until the clock chimed twelve.
