Loxiugton county, is very much in the public eye just at this time on account of tiie pemiim: Tillman trial. On Monday next, unless another continuance be cranfeJ. James H Tillman will Ue placed on trial lor the killing of Xarciso G Gonzales. The court at Lexington met last Monday with Judge Frank L> Gary, who was appointed to hold , this court, on the bench. On the recommendation of the grand jury and the vounty officials Judge Gary ruled that 'he case be carried over to the second vreek and by mutual agreement ot counsel the time tor the trial to bejriii was set tor next Monday. ^-Should ihere be no further delay a battle royal is expected between the counsel for the prose cut ion and the defence. On both aides are arrayed many of the ablest lawyers of the State and every inch of ground will be stubl)ornly contested.
