WARES SHOALS. I It is literally true that all has been j moving on smoothly and rapidly about our little town for tho last few weeks and all that wecou'd have written would have been: "We are all well and are doing well!" The dam Is rising with amazing rap idity in the midst of the river and the contractors begin to feel assured that their work will be completed long before the year is fulfilled. The carpenters arc continually at Ithoir work and are raising up numbers [of neat little cottages near the pro |joctod factory building. The telephone lino from Laurens is at| last completed. Contractor King has begun work on ] tho now bridge across Turkey Creek. A new store has been opened up In j the South extremity of the town, yet j the, business of tho company store has 90 increased that Mr. D. B. Roper has sen compelled again to enlarge lls store room and Is continually In I'.reaslng his stock of goods. The young men are quite numerous Lt this place, while tho. young ladles I Ire not so many. Theroforo some of] jur boys are obliged to ride a mule as, xv as Coke8bury to see their sweet trts. But, the Waro Shoals girls do ] >t let many pass out, for they will nie on three at a time to keep home llent at home. Such is thoir ambition. M. E. 0.
