MARRIED IN CLINTON.
The Wedding of Kiss Jaule Yance and
Dr. P. U. Elleser.
The wedding of Mies Janle Vanoe of
Clintoo and Dr. P. Gray Ellesor of
New berry in the Presbyterian Ohurch,
Clinton, at noon last Thursday, was one
of the prettiest ever seen In the county.
It was attended by a large number of
tho friends and kindred of the bride
and groom. Rev. Dr. W. P. Jacobs of
ficiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. S. F. Vance. She is one of the
most popular young ladles of Clinton
and was equally popular In the social
circles of Laurens. Dr. Ellesor is one of
the prominent and successful physl
siolans of Newberry.
Promptly at twelye, Miss Annie
Copeland rendered Mendelssohn's Wed
ding March.
Messrs. Rob Vanoe, Vanoe Irby, Rob
ert Philson and Mr. Tom Johnstone of
Newberry, the ushers, then entered,
and were followed by Misses Thyra
Schumpert, Lizzie Glenn and Bessie
Oilder of Newberry, Miss Birdie Vanoe
of Louisiana and Misses loa and Laura
Vance, of Clinton, the bridesmaids.
The groom entered with his best
man, Mr. Malcoln Johnstone of New
berry and the bride with her dame of
honor, Mrs. T. D. Darlington of Lau
rens. The bride looked lovely in a
traveling suit of castor clotb, and car
ried a beautiful bouquet of bride's
roses. The maids and dame of honor
wore handsome waists of white satin,
whlto beaver hats and blaek skirts.
The maids carried umbrellas. The
church was beautifully decorated-in
white and green.
A number of friends of the bride
and groom then went to the home of
the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. F.
Vance, where a reoeptioo was ten
dered. The parlors and dining room
were beautifully decorated in ferns and
other pot plants. The presents were
numerous and handsome, evidences of
the esteem in which both bride and
groom are held.
Dr. and Mrs. Ellesor left on the 2.80
train for New York, where they will
spend a month.
