Seed are bringing 2 cents now on this market. Fire in Cotton. Mr. A. J. Bailev of the Elei ^ n section woke up about 11 o'cloc last Friday night and discovered that the cotton in his cotto] house was afire. With a f: buckets of water lie put the fir out in a few minutes, it ha* evidently been burning only short time and had made bu little progress. The loss wa about 100 pounds, which wa light indeed when it is remem bered there were about liv bales in there. He does no understand how the fire started Fire In the County. The barn, stable and crib o Mr. W. B. Bruce of the Heatl Spring section were destroyei by fire Friday night last abou 11 o'clock. Besides the build ings, he lost a lot of fodder some gears and two mules, tli latter of which belonged to ?n of his sons. It is thought tlia the fire was started by som miscreant who nad ridden on of his" mules and dropped lighted match when he put th mule hack.
