Fire in Cotton.
Mr. A. J. Bailev of the Elei

section woke up about 11 o'cloc
last Friday night and discovered
that the cotton in his cotto]
house was afire. With a f:
buckets of water lie put the fir
out in a few minutes, it ha*
evidently been burning only
short time and had made bu
little progress. The loss wa
about 100 pounds, which wa
light indeed when it is remem
bered there were about liv
bales in there. He does no
understand how the fire started
