Twelve competitors entered-Sergeant Robertson, Cor )oral W. A. Boaty, and Privates Laniderda1c, Jordanm Ifarden, Boag, Propst, Millirng, 1I. 1. McMaster, f3igler, C. M. Clander and W. J. Elliott. Majors C, E. Thomas and .Ino. S. Reynolds and Capt. W. G. Jordan acted as judges. Lieutenant Elliott gave the commands. The drill was very thorough and lasted two hours, with four rests. At the end of the drill Corporal Beaty and Privates .llarden, Lauderdale and Jordan were called up again, when after frther drill, Corporal Bieaty wvas ad(jutdged entitled to the plume. Major Thomas the' presented the plume11 in a neat littuo add(ress. The drill was quite a sucess5.
