Grindall, January 12.— Ring out the old ring in the new, Ring out the false ring in the true. “Amid pleasures or palaces where- ever I roam, Be it ever so humble, there’s no place like home.” Just how true these words are only one who has been thrown in prison with only God’s love to sustain them, can realize. I did not intend coming so soon after my liberation buc that joke about the asylum and postage stamp is too good to pass over. It’s a fact things do happen like vhat, and you can make people be lieve just anything you want them to, and a little more besides—if you will only persist. I have had some laughable as well as aggravating and sad experience during the past three months and will relate some of them from time to time for the edification (,) of The Ledger readers. We avtended Sunday school at Re- hoboth last Sunday and were pleased to find a good crowd present, also preaching Sunday. Rev. W. T. Thompson preached (an eloquent and soul-satisfying sermon. We have not had time to glean much news since our return but will try to do better next time. Annie Laurie. When shown positive and reliable proof that a certain remedy had cured numerous cases of female ills, wouldn’t any sensible woman conclude that the same remedy would also benefit her if suffering with the same trouble ? Here are two letters which prove the efficiency of Lydia E. Pinkham’s Vegetable Compound. Red Banks, Miss.— M Words are inadequate to express what Lydia E. Pinkham’s Vegetable Compound has done for me. I suffered from a female disease and weakness which the doc tors said was caused by a fibroid tumor, and I commenced to think there was no help for me. Lydia E. Pinkham’s Vegetable Compound made me a well woman after all other means had failed. My friends are all asking what has helped me so much, and I gladly recommend Lydia E. Pinkliam’s Vegetable Com pound.**—Mrs. Willie Edwards. Hampstead, Maryland.— M Before taking Lydia E. Pinkham’s Vegetable Compound 1 was weak and nervous, and could not be on my feet half a day without suffering. The doctors told me I never would lie well without an operation, but Lydia E. Pinkham’s Vegetable Compound has done more for me than all the doctors, and I hope this valuable medicine may come into the hands of many more suffering women.** — Mrs. Joseph H. Dandy. / We will pay a handsome reward to any person whq.tfvill prove to us that these letters are not genuine and truthful — or that either of these women were paid in any way for their testimonials, or that the letters are published/without their penuission, or that the original letter froiy each did not come to us entirely unsolicited. / What more proof can any one ask ? . Tor 30 years Lydia E. Plnkham’s Vegetable/ Compound has been the standard remedy fo, female ills. No sick woman does justice P herself who will not try this famous medicine.
