Singleton of Enterprise was in Conway last Friday and left at the Herald office a sample of the tine watermelons he has raised this year on his farm in Waccamaw Neck. This melon weighed forty pounds and was one of a variety that ripened several weeks later than the other kinds planted in the crop. His crops at Enterprise this year have been destroyed by the floods. Recently it was reported that his loss was about 50 per cent. Now his loss appears much worse, as he will lose about all.
