V There was a hearing in the magistrate court last ^rcek in an ejectment proceeding between Jesse Woodward as plaintiff, against A. D. Graham, as defendant. It is said that the plaintiff had purchased the cottage which is occupied by the defendant and the defendant would not move cut upon request. The defendant won in this first proceeding regarding the possession. -??? 6 PLACED UNDER BOND. Last Saturday F. M. Bryant, near Adrian, S C., was arrested and placed under bond charged with failing to dip cattle as notified to do by the authorities. The proceedings were taken out before Magistrate W. H. Chestnut. The highest price received for leaf t< bacco here last Tuesday was about thirty-nine (39) cents, and from this point the prices ranged downward at all figures to as low as one cent per pound.
