C.?adv ? * * Some of the remedies for warding off the germs of Spanish influenza in Conway arc amusing even if effective. One method was described by one who said he had tried it. He wanted to carry a piece of assafoetida and as he had no one near to sow up the bag, he purchased a sack of smoking tobacco, and throwing away the weed used used the sack as a con tainer for the medicine. Then in the matter of a nose spray he purchased a bottle of soda water put up by the Conway Coco-cola Bottling Company and drinking this at a gulp, he held his mouth shut and forced the gas to come back through his nostrils.
