Some of the remedies for warding
off the germs of Spanish influenza
in Conway arc amusing even if effective.
One method was described
by one who said he had tried it. He
wanted to carry a piece of assafoetida
and as he had no one near to sow
up the bag, he purchased a sack of
smoking tobacco, and throwing away
the weed used used the sack as a con
tainer for the medicine. Then in the
matter of a nose spray he purchased
a bottle of soda water put up by the
Conway Coco-cola Bottling Company
and drinking this at a gulp, he held
his mouth shut and forced the gas to
come back through his nostrils. Dr.
Evans of the State will please take
notice.
