THURSDAY March 5th 1003 A town of the size of Conway, without electric lights, lacks one of the distinguishing marks of modern progress and improvement. Pricks of real estate in I lorry county are on the rise and are never likely to fall. If you get the opportunity of a bargain, never let it go. as you may never have such a chance again. A little paint and a few repairs made at the court house the week before court, improved the appear ance of the building in a wonderful manner. "We believe that the people of the county would be gbad of a new court house, and would not now regret it, had they voted for the now court house last summer The county should have a new court house because it can afford it and needs it. We have to sey that no one can tell what the prices of tobacco will be, no more than one can tell the future prices of any other article. It is thought by Borne that the prices realized this year will not be as high as thoy were last year, but there is no cer tainty about this. But prison shelter, fuel, clothing, and'medicine are extras, paid for out of the public funds. Then the table was laid with many dainties and we were y told to just help ourselves, and we proceeded to do that very tiling. They played a very interesting game, the Horse-pen team winning the game. 17 to 11. After the game was over the scholars all reassembled at the school house and entertained their hearers enthusiusticaly with their most eloquent speeches.
