Mr. Taylor, presiding elder of the Marion district, preached at the Methodist church last Sunday. The quarterly conference was held on Monday morning. The contract for the erection of a handsome dwelling for A. T. Collins has been given to J. A. Garron who commenced the work several days ago. A. N. Cox is sinking an artesian well on the property.
