Pledges made sometime ago by various ministers will be p*i4 during the?Carfvention session.^ The host pastor is the Rev. J. M. Toomer, a friend of ours. It seems as if it were yesterday that Rev. Toomer ("Toonp. >o his ? froendsl and-J were beating the I oushes down in Orangeburg County. I was serving the Gran| ger Baptist Church at Ellovee, and he was serving a church in the upper part of Orangeburg County. It was at that church I 1 conducted my second Revival \ meeting. At that time I was the circulating manager of the Peoples Informer before it was merged witth the Lighthfoutw?... We have remained friends through the years.
