The cotton sales day arranged for Thursday of each week by the mer chants Of the town Is proving emi nently satisfactory. Last Thursday was a record break ing day for cotton selling gt Walter boro, several hundred bales being brought to market and bringing top prices.. Daniel, presiding elder of the Charleston district will delivef a lecture here , on Nov. 12th and at Cross Swamp chorch nh the night of ■ the 13 th. His subject will be “The Southern Mule.” Dr. Daniel is a very entertaining lecturer and doubtless those who attend will b« well repaid.
