The Maple school, which was taught by Miss Wiuabee Grace of Walterboro, closed yesterday. She cannot be commended too highly for the interest that she manifested in^ behalf of the pupils. She did all that was in her power for their beuifit. She has won raauy friends in the community and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Everybody that has relatives buried at the Gruber grave yard, near Stokes Bridge, are request ed to meet there on the first Fri day in May, for the purpose of Meaning ofl the graves, and must also bring dinner with them. It will be kind of a memorial. We are in hopes of having some apeaches. We will be glad to have visiting friends with us, thatwould like to help out the occasion. Miss Eliza Hughes died at her home on Saturday morning last, after several weeks illness. She was in her fifty-third year. She leaves an aged mother and three brothers to mour her loss.
