In his let ter Judge Port tells the Senator that he attended the Camden Graded School as a youth and that ha was graduated in the class of 1896. Cotton Insect Control Tried On Community Basis [sr iare Dance ON LAURENS STREET BETWEEN FAIR AND LYTTLETON Information contained in May reports of county agents of the Clemson Extension Service indi cate an increasing interest in ef forts to control the cotton boll weevil on a community-wide basis. County agents report at least 15 communities in 12 counties are conducting experimental demon strations in early seasonal control of the weevil and other cotton in sects. In these communities the cot ton acreage varies from a few huhdred acres to 2,500 to 3,000 acres in one block with, all grow ers in the given area applying the same insecticide at the same time.
