A bill recently passed by the House and Senate makes fortune telling unlawful in Laurens county. For tune telling is dying a slow, but apparently sure, death is South Carolina. Numerous counties have passed laws making the psychic practice unlawful. Other counties, while not outlawing the practice are requiring license fees designed to discourage fortunetelling. Anderson re quires a $10,000 license fee before it will issue a license for fortunetelling in the county.
