L/Cpl. Jensen has been sta tioned at the Marine Base at Beaufort. After his leave home he will go to Vietnam. Mr. and Mrs. James P. John son spent Sunday afternoon in Greenwood with Mrs. Johnson’s sister, Mrs. William Bekhaw. Homecoming and singing was held Sunday at the Penticostal Holiness Church on the Joanna Whitmire Road. Mary Musgrove Grets Face-Lifting; New Management The Mary Musgrove Motor Hotel and Restaurant is now under the management of Helen and Harry Losson, formerly man agers of the Interstate 26 Res taurant near Spartanburg. They also attended worship servies at ‘Pretty Place.’ The Rev. William (Bill) Rogers, pastor of Broad Street Methodist Church in Clinton, deliver ed the sermon. About 25 adults from Clinton attended the service. Parents are to pick up their children at the camp Saturday morning. Mrs. Eva Land To Retire On June 1, Mrs. Eva B. Land will retire from her post as Com munities Activities Director for Clinton Mills, a position she has held since 1950. As director, Mrs. Land or ganized Camp Fire Girls in this area and since has been a mem ber of the board of directors of Clinton Camp Fire Council. She organized night classes in crafts, ^sewing, and first aid for the Clin ton Mills employees. She is an active member of Calvary Baptist Church. As di rector of music for the music department, she had five choirs and director of the Youth Choir, Adult Choir and Handbell Choir, which was organized by her in 1968. She has held choir clinics at Calvary Baptist Church for all churches of the two communi ties for several years. Mrs. Land attended Converse College, majoring in music, an< graduated from Sherwood School of Music in Chicago. In addition to her work she Music Recitals MRS. Those participating were Misses Norma Bishop, Marcia Neighbors, Beth Neighbors, Robin Neighbors, Wanda Summers, Mr. Tony Bishop. Rev. J. C. Conoly gave the Benediction. Misses LeJune has served on the Board of Di rectors of the Community Con cert Association for six years. Dunaway, Louise Conoly, and Cathy Young assisted Mrs. Young in giving out programs and serv ing punch and cake squares dur ing the social hour. MRS. HARRY McSWEEN Piano pupils of Mrs. Harry McSween who were presented in recital last Thursday night were Linda Fay Duncan, Susie Oakley, Judy Daniel, Dottie Frady, Lynn Frady, Cynthia Madden, Clare Turner, Noni Von Hollen, Fran Hogan, Collette Floyd and Claire Duncan. She will continue to teach piano and reside in the Clinton Mills Community Building where six will serve as hostess. Miss Copeland Is Stewardess Miss Sally Copeland has “won her wings” and is now a steward ess with Delta Air Lines. Daughter of Mr. and Mrt. Posey W. Copeland of Jacobs Highway, Clinton, she completed the four-week training course at Delta’s Stewardess School at the Atlanta Airport and is now proudly wearing the chic uniform and hat of the nation’s fifth largest air line. She is based in Dallas. Miss Copeland graduated from Clinton High School and from the University of Georgia. Prior to joining Delta she was employed with the Federal Credit Union at Greenville General Hos pital.
