Nabors were among those attending fu neral services for Terry McCor- ley of Whitmire last Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Tillman Crapps, Henrietta Crapps, Wayne Crapps, Mrs. Maude Nabors, Mr. and Mrs. Joe McQuirt and Wayne McCullough were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald McQuirt on Thanksgiving Day. Mr. and Mrs. George Cobb II, George III, Catherine and Mr. and Mrs. Henderson Pitts and John Pitts were Thanksgiving dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. David Pitts and Miss Martha Pitts. Mrs. Sara Arnold Cooper and children of Spartanburg visited *Mrs. David Pitts and Mrs. George Cobb Thursday afternoon. v Mr. and Mrs. James Evans were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Evans last Thurs day evening. Mr. and Mrs. Earle Johnson and son Frank were at dinner with Mrs. Besie Johnson on Thrusday. Al, Susan, Rickey, and Kay Shouse spent Friday with Mr. and Mrs. N. A. Shouse. C. M. Hill is a patient at Self Memorial Hospital in Green wood. The Shady Grove 4-H club will meet Monday afternoon at 4 o’clock at the clubhouse. Miss Patsy Morgan of Green- viille spent the week-end with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Jack Mor gan. Mrs. J. C. Nabors visited Mrs. Gus Hallingsworth Sunday. Cross Hill News MRS. HAROLD AUSTIN. Correspondent Misses Sue Simpson and Sue Bragg the latter of Clinton enter tained a number of their friends with a hayride Saturday evening. The ride included a trip to Lau rens, Clinton and down to the lake home of Mr. and Mrs. Bragg where the group enjoyed a cook- out of hamburgers. Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Simpson and Mr. and Mrs. Bragg chaperoned the group. Around 25 young people enjoyed the hayride. Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Leaman had as their guests during the Thanksgiving holidays Mr. and Mrs. Gene Shillingham and chil dren of Rock Hill. James Chap man and daughters and Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Chapman and daugh ters of Asheville, N. C., and Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Sturgeon and children of Savannah, Ga. Mrs. D.. J. Ball and children of Charleston spent Thanksgiving day with Mrs. L. D. Hanna and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hanna. Mrs. L. D. Hanna returned home with them for a visit. E. O. H. Ray Shubert, Mrs. Shubert and children Dianne and Jimmy, who have been living at Meridian, Miss., are visiting Mr. and Mrs. C. R. C. Cunningham. Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Chandler, Calvin Bostic and Mrs. F. S. Cole spent a recent Sunday with rela tives at Monroe, N. C. The following college students have returned to their studies after spending the Thanksgiving holidays at home: Misses Betty Hipp and Elaine Austin, Lander; Miss ClarabeUe Hill, Winthrop; Jimmy Austin, Willford and Perry Simpson, William Martin, Boyce, and George Muckenfuss, Clemson. Jake Rasor, Jr., who is band instructor at Turbeeville High School spent the holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Rasor. Mr. and Mrs. H. N.. Coward and Sue and Johnny Coward of Spartanburg visited Mrs. H. L. McSwain during the week-end. Dr. and Mrs. John Olin Eidson of the University of Georgia, Athens, Ga., were file recent guests of Misses Lillie\Mae and Florida Rudd. Mr. and Mrs. M, C. 'Pinson had their children and grandchildren as Thanksgiving guests. These included: Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Brodie; Kathy and Rusty of Orangeburg, and Mr. and Mrs. Sarnie Pinson and daughters of Clinton. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Hill and Miss Clarabelle Hill visited rela tives at Sumter during the holi days. The family of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Bolt spent Thanksgiving Day with them.
