Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Pearson and Debbie of Greneville, were Thanksgiving Day guests of the formers' parents, Rev. and Mrs. Frank Pearson Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Boswell, Dan and Miss Ann Boswell of Rome, Ga., spent the week-end here with Mrs. Boswell’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Thornburg, having been called because of the dines of their daughter, Mrs. Eddie Abercrombie and birth of their granddaughter, Regina Ab ercrombie, at Self Memorial hos pital in Greenwood. Mrs. Boswell remained here to be with her daughter and parents for the week. Mr. and Mrs. John Heath of Greenville, visited her mother Mrs. J. H. Seay, and sister, Miss Feroline Say, on Wednesday of last week. Billy Davis, SN, of Norfolk, Va, spent the week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Da vis. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kitchens and sons visited her mother, Mrs. Laura McGaha, in Duncan on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mathis vis ited his father, Pink Gaffney, in Gaffney Sunday. Mrs. N. J. Sanders and Mrs. Pete Ortagus and daughter, Joan, have returned to their home in Palatka, Fla., after a few days visit with their son and brother, Rev. M. J. Sanders, and Mrs.. Saiders. On Friday they all visited in the mountains of North Carolina, when Mrs. Ortpgus saw her first snow. Mr. and Mr?. Robert L. Fer guson and family of Knoxville, Tenn., Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rector and family of Union, and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Spencer of Jonesville, spent Thanksgiving with Mr. and Mrs. Paul Revis. Marvni Neal’s brother, Ranee Neal, is seriously ill in a Lenier, N. C., hospital and another broth er, Grimes Neal, is seriously ill in the Newberry hospital. Mr. and Neal have visited them. Thanksgiving Day and week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Armstrong were Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Ledford, Debra and De nise of Gastonia, N. C.; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Armstrong and family of Rock Hill; Mr. and Mrs.. Aaron Armtrong, Sheila and Sandra of Laurens. Gary Sprouse, ICFN, U. S. Navy, Charleston, spent the week-end with Mrs. Sprouse and son, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Sprouse. Mrs. Lilly Belle Miller visited Mrs. Rosa Cole in Greenville Sat urday. Mrs. Mabel Roberts and Mrs. Dot Davis of Fountain Inn. were Thursday guests of the former’s sister, Mjs. W. L. Motte, and Mr Motte. Mack Gaffney of Clemson Col lege, spent the Thanksgiving week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gaffney. On Saturday they attended the fun eral services of Mrs. Gaffney’s niece, Rhonda Lynn Bragg, in Whitmire H. S. Watson of Columbus, Miss., is visiting his daughter, Mrs. E. W. Mitchell, and Mr. Mitchell, having returned home with Mrs. Mitchell following her visit with he and Mrs. Watson. Mrs. Clyde Trammell with Mrs. E. S. Taylor, Jr., Mrs. John Mabry and Mrs.. Oscar Kinard of Clinton, attended the annual In spection of the Woodruff Order of Eastern Star on Satruday, eve ning. _ \ Miss Harriet Wilson of Fur man University, Greenville, was home for the holidays with her mother, Mrs. Virginia WUson, and her grandfather, C. J. Black- well Also visiting them during the week, due to the illnes of Mr. Blackwell, were his daughters, Mrs. Woodrow McLendon of Greenwood, and Mrs. Ernest Kellett of Ninety Six. Bruce Mills of Clemson Col- lege, spent the Thanksgiving - hoUdays with his mother, Mrs. J. B. Paterson, and family. Kenneth TrammeU, HN3, has completed six months of physical therapy training at the Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md , and is spending a 15-day leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde TrammeU. Corpsman TrammeU wUl be stationed at Cherry Point, N. C., foUowing a leave. Chuck Baker spent the holi days in Newberry with his home Sunday after a visit with her brother, Roecoe Andrews, and other relatixes in Carnes- ville, Ga. Mr. Andrews accom panied his ister here. Marine Richard Sanders of Camp Lejeune, N. C., spent the week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Sanders. Butch Grady was a patient at Self MemoriJa hospital, Green wood, over the week-end for treatment of his arm. David E. Roberts is improving at his home fololwing an Ulness at BaUey Memorial Hospital.
