Visiting them now for a few weeks is Mrs. Bertha Griffith of Atlanta, Ga. Mrs. Griffith will also visit her grandmother, Mrs. Linda Crenshaw, in Whitmire. Mrs. R. H. Hill, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Tucker and daughter of Woodruff, were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. James Burnett and son. • Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lee Thom as of Startex, were Sunday visi tors of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Thomas. _ K Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kinard and Mike were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Kinard in Newberry. Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Holcombe and Max visited her mother, Mrs. W. J. Holden, and sister, Mrs. Frances Dickerson, and family on Tuesday, November 26, near Pelzer. Mrs. Hedden has been ill for some time, but is improving. Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Bowers and Jan went to Newberry Sun day to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Tinsley. Mr. Tinsley is improving after being ill for several weeks. Mr. and Msr. Johnny Moore and sons were week-end guests of his parents, Dr. and Mrs. T. M. Moore, in Rembert. Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Stew- are Brown on Thanksgivinv Day were her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Donnan in Laurens; Miss Ruby Templeton of Greenwood; and thfeir daughter. Patricia Brown, of Columbia. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Cole, Miss Annie Putnam, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Poag attended the Cole Christmas dinner Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Gambrell in Ninety Six. Holiday guests of the Fred Braggs were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Bragg and family of Aiken, com ing especially to see their new grandson, Gerald Eugene, who was born on October 29. Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Franzen over the holidays were their son, Robert Franzen, and Mrs. Franzen of Kinston, N. C. Also on Thursday their daughter, Mrs. Lucius Hill, and Mr. Hill of Spartanburg. Carl and Robert at tended the Clem|son - Carolina game in Columbia on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. G. N. Foy en tertained at a Thanksgiving- Mrs. Champ Johnson and Bet ty were dinner guests Sunday of Mrs. Louise Lathrop in Kinards. Another guest was Mrs. Lath- rop’s brother, Mayer Johnson, of Columbia. Miss Joyce Smith of Greenville spent a few days with her sister, Mrs. W. E. Boyd, and Mr. Boyd, and her grandfather, M. E. Smith, last week. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Byars, Eugenia and Ginger, were Satur day visitors in Greenville. On Sunday Eugenia was a guest at Aveleigh Presbyterian Church in Newberry wsere she sang a solo. Sue and Guy Misenheimer of Rock Hill, were overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Boyce last Wednesday. On Thursday Guy, along with Billy Glenn, another guest of the Boyce family, and Elaine Boyce attended the Clem- son-Carolina game. Sue returned home Sunday. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Gus Cannon were Ellen Brunson and Son of Sumter; Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Boyce, Karen Lowery and Cathy Prater; also Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Boyce and Cherry of Aiken. Mr. Craig remains a patient at the General hospital.
