Rollins has return ed home after spending some time with her sister, Mrs. Chand ler in Columbia. Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Philips, Mrs.. Lucille Ervin, Mrs. R. G. Turner, Richard and Don White were all guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dorsey Turner for Thanksgiving Day. ATTEND R. A. COURSE Rev. J. W. Spillers, Dorsey Turner, Ted Ward and Noland Lancaster attended the Royal Ambassador Leadership Course at Lucas Avenue Church in Lau rens for several nights last week. The fidilis Class of the Cal vary Baptist Church entertained the patients at the Laurens Coun ty Home last Tuesday night with a Thanksgiving dinner. Turkey and all the trimmings was served afterward everyone was invited into the Chapel where singing was rendered by the children of the class members. Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Snelgrove had as their guests for Thanks giving Day dinner Mrs. Snel- grove’s sister, Mr. and Mrs. W. R.. Strange and sons of Green wood. David Spoon of Charlotte visit ed his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Spoon, dining the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Horace C. Smith had as their guests recently Mrs. Bertha Gregory and son, Fran cis Evans of Griffin, Ga., and Mr. and Mrs. Elix Gossett of Griffin, Ga. Having Thanksgiving Day din ner with Mr. and Mrs.. Horace C. Smith were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Dillenham and baby, also Miss Franceen Smith of Charlotte. 4? Mr. and Mrs. David Storey and children of Greenville, spent Thanksgiving Day with Mrs. Mary Fallow. Mrs. W. T. O’Shield recently visited her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Patterson in Calhoun Falls. Miss Brenda Fallow returned to Winthrop College Sunday after yisitihg herjmother, Mrs. Mary Fallow Thanksgiving and visit ing in Aberdeen, N. C., over the week-end. Dena Andrea Heaton, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs- Clifton Hea ton celebrated her 1st birthday, December 4th. Mr. and Mrs. Clifton and daughters, Miss Nancy, Jerry McGee, Faye Murphy, and Fred Heaton visited Mr. and Mrs. Car- roll Fulmer Sunday in Johnston. Mrs. Clifton Heaton and daugh ters, Mrs. N. A. Adams and Mrs. Hubert Leapard recently visited Mr. and Mrs. P. D. Watkins in Greenwood. Mrs. Adams re mained for a longer visit with her sister and brother-in-law.. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lee and Donna vsiited their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harris and Mr. and Mrs. Lee in Lockhart Thanks giving Day. Donna remained until Sunday with her grand parents. Mrs. Maxie Wallenzine and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Wallenzine visited Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wallenzine in Beech Is land Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Stewart and Valerie of Ashville, N. C., spent Thanksgiving Day with the latters parents, Mr., and Mrs. Marvin Stewart and Valerie re mained for a longer visit with her grandparents. TURKEY SHOOT The parents of Boy Scout Troop 174 are sponsoring a tur key shoot Saturday, December 6th at the Clinton High School. Proceeds will go for camping ex pense. Come and win a turkey. CHOIR DINNER On Sunday, December 1st after the morning worship hour the Adult Choir of Calvary Baptist Church met in the social hall for a covered dish dinner. Mrs. feva Land choir director and Bubby Oakley, choir president and all members of the choir with their families enjoyed the dinner serv ed buffet style. Mr. and Mrs. Billy Reynolds and sons of Simpsonville spent Sunday with Rev. and Mrs. J- W. Spillers and attended the serv ices at Calvary. Donna Campbell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Silas M.
