Tommy Boyce of Fieldale, Va.* was a week-end visitor of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Boyce. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Phillips were Sunday visitors of their daughter an sdon-inl-aw, Rev. and Mrs. Bill Dyches, in Lugoff. Mrs. Minnie Burnett, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Gilliam spent Sun day in the mountains t of North Carolina., Among college students home for the week-end were: Barbara and Elaine Boyce, and Eugenia Byars of Winthrop; and Jenny Rae Surratt of Lander. Mr. and Mrs. Skipper Lewis and son of Columbia, spent the week-end wtih their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Buck Murrah, Mr. and Mrs. Shuford Lewis. Mr. and Mrs. Jones Wallenzine were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wertx in Spartanburg. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Julian and Connie of Fountain Inn, were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Sexton over the week-end. Mrs. J. M. Hatton and Effie Lou Godfrey sprat last week-end in Greenville with their brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Truman Godfrey., Mrs. Boyce Bowen is in Chica go, 111., with Mr. Bowen, who has been seriously ill, but is im proving at this time. Mr. and Mrs. Hamer Jacks visited little Nita Jacks, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. James Jacks, who is a patient in the Spartanburg General hospital, on Sunday. Miss Clara McCall of Green ville, sprat last week with Mrs. J. M. Hatton.' Sgt. Marvin Elliott of Orlando, Fla., sprat the week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Elliott. Sunday visitors of Mrs. Joe Abrams were M-Sgt. and Mrs. Jtoe Kennedy and children of Shaw AFB, Sumter; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hanby of Easley; Mr. and Mrs. Bud Kay of Green wood; and Miss Doris Abrams of Greenville. WOMAN’S CLUB MEETS The Joanna Woman’s Chib will meet tonight at the chib house at 7:30. Mrs. Johnny Moore and Mrs. Hack Prater will have charge of the program. Mrs. Gladys Nabors’ group will en tertain. ASSOCIATIONAL BA NIGHT This is Royal Ambassador Week and Saturday, November 0, is Associational R Anight at the Hurricane Baptist Church. The boys will leave the church at 3:30 p. m. along with their counselors. REVIVAL BEGINS Revival services began Sun day, November 10, and will con tinue through November 17 at the Joanna Chruch of God. Rev. W. L. Broome of Blacksburg, will be the visiting speaker. Ser vices will begin at 7:00 each night.
