Baker, Sr., 59, of Rt. 5, Hendersonville, N. C., died suddenly at his home Friday.' A native of Clinton, he had been employed at Berkley Mill since 1925. He was a son of the late Leonard and Mattie Williams Baker. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Corrine Baker; two sons, Leon ard F and Harvey E. Baker, Jr., of Balfour, N. C.; a brother, Roy L. Baker, of Balfour; four sisters, Miss Mamie Baker and Mrs. H. J. Beck, both of Balfour; Mrs. Guy Corn, of Rt. 5, Henderson ville, and Mrs. Louis D. Painter, of Centralia, Washington; and six grandchildren. Funeral services were conduct ed Sunday afternoon at Shep herd Funeral Home by Rev. T. D. Holcombe. Burial was in Shep herd Memorial Park. Robert M. Coin ' Laurens—Robert Marion Cain, 61, of the Chestnut Ridge com munity, died Sunday at 9:00 a. m. in a local hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Cain, a well known fanner, was a native of Sumter County and a son of W. Marion Cain of the home, and the late Mrs. Olive Mellette Cain. He was a member of Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church. Surviving, in addition to his father, are a daughter, Mrs. La mar Bishop of Lubbock, Texas; three brothers, R. Lawton Cain and Julian M. Cain of Sumter; and W. Hugh Cain of Laurens; two sisters, Mrs. W. N. Bradford of Sumter, and Mrs. Milton E. Thomason of Laurens; and two grandchildren. Funeral services were conduct- de Tuesday at 3:00 p. m. at the Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church by Rev. F. M. Julian.
