August 25, I960 THE CLINTON CHRONICLE It (Elution (Ekomrlr Battle Group Leaves for Camp Company “C,” lit Battle Group, 322nd Infantry, Klst Division, left Clinton Sunday morning for two weeks annual active duty training at Fort Jackson, near Columbia. Under the command of Capt. Sarnie M. Pinson, of Clinton, the group is composed of (5 enlisted men and four officers. As a feature of the training period this summer the division is bivoucaed in the field for the entire two weeks. Company “C” is composed of men from Laurens and Greenwood counties. In addition to Captain Pinson, the other officers in the com pany are: 1st Lt. William P. Putman of Laurens, Executive Officer; 1st Lt. John H. Ingram of Greenwood, Transportation Officer; and 1st IX. Niles C. Clark, Jr., of Waterloo, who is platoon leader of the weapons platoon located in Greenwood.—Photo by Dan Yarborough.
