E. Whitmire and Mrs. Virginia Wilson were co-hoet esses with Mrs. Trammell. Roses in varied shades decor ated the living room with red and white glads in the dining room. Mrs. Sharpton was presented a sweetpea corsage upon arriving. A number erf games pertaining to the month of May were en joyed by the fourteen invited close friends of the honoree, af ter which refresments with cold drinks weer served. Mrs. Sharp- ton was remembered with a number of beautiful and useful gifts. Mr* S. B. Neal and Mrs. Walter Martin of Laurens, and Mrs. Grover Mclnvaille of Clin ton, were out of town guests. Mr* Von Hollan Given Shower Mrs. Allen Inglett and Mr* David Satterfield were hostess es at a miscellaneous shower given for Mrs. James Von Hol- len Saturday evening at the Ly dia Community building Games and contests pertaining to the occasion were directed by Mrs. Horace Smith. After an hour of fun the guefits were invited into the dining room where refreshments were served buffet- — Later in the evening the hon oree was presented many lovely and useful gifts which she open- end and passed. Q. A. Focus Week The Junior Girls’ Auxiliary of the Lydia Baptist church will ob serve Focus Week beginning Monday and meet at the church at 5 o’clock Monday afternoon. Sunday School Class Meets The Willing Workers Sunday school class of the Baptist church held its regular monthly meet ing, Thursday evening at the home, of Mrs. Floyd Emory. Af ter the business session a social hour was enjoyed. Mrs. C. R. Kuykendall, who was celebrating a birthday, was presented gifts frbm those pres ent.
