Every day or two comes the same old story of negroes, and in many instances white people, locking I their children in the house and go ing away and coing back to find them burned to death. Sheriff Buford, of Newberry 4 t county, paid our section a profes sional visit last week and sustained his reputation as one of the most elicient oficers in the State by ar resting Ben Abuey alias Geo. Jones. a colored, wanted by the authorities of Newberry county for disposing of mortgage property. The negro after disposing of the property left I for parts unknown. le was final ly located by our local sleuths, Mlessrs. Trussell and Ilaynes, in Greenville county.
