The value of foreign imports for the same time was about $8,000,000 in gold, and the estimated currency value of free goods reoeived by the Panama steamers, $22,600,000; the value of] merchandizo exports since January 1, $9,750,000, and coin and bullion over #20,000,000. The internal reve? nue collection for the District of San Franoisco was over 85,000,000. Since January 1, 32,000 passengers have arrived there, two-thirds of whom stayed. m - A liberal treaty with China, open? ing all the ports of tho empire to American commerce, has beeu sent to the Senate.
