33y ^^^^^^^^^ I Cable Despatches. TOULON, October 26.-A fleet of ?on clads left here at 6 o'clock this Arning. Transports with troops filow immediately after. The ship? ment of war material ia vigorously going on. A special despatch from Florence says Garibaldi had 4,000 followers on crossing the frontier. Terrible Storm on the RIO Grande. NEW ORLEANS, October 28.-Later advices confirm the destructive ef? fects of the late storm upon the Bio Grande. A bombardment of a year could hardly have dono os much damage as happened from this one night's storm. Twenty-six persons were killed in Matamoros, and twen? ty-one wounded in Brownsville; while iu Brazos it is known that twelve persons perished and many were wounded* The negro soldiers and their officers behaved shamefully at Brazos, not only refusing to len? der any assistance to tho sufferers, but actually robbing the wrecked goods. A citizen who interfered was brutally murdered by the robbers. The klucers did nothing to check their brigandage. The court house and jail in Brownsville were de? stroyed, and the prisoners are at liberty. Entire squares in Browns? ville and Matamoros were completely destroyed. Kewi Items. OMAHA.. October 26.-The five hun? dredth section of tho Union Pacific Railroad was made yesterday. Seven? teen miles more will carry tho track to the Eastern base of the Rocky Mountains. WASHINGTON, October 28.-Gen. Pope declines changing the Georgia districts. He reports to Grant that he reflected two days before adopting them. It is fair to say that the Pre? sident's endorsement on the com? plaint amounts to a strong protest. Grant's answer to the President mildly agreed with the President's views, but expressed apprehension that it was too lato to make changes. Grant's endorsement on referring the papers to Pope, has not transpired. The British Government having declined releasing Cols. Warren and Nigle, they will be tried immediately. The State Department here has order? ed the employment of counsel for their defence. It is not intended by recent cotton regulations, series three, number five, to reqniro permits and bills of lading for tho removal of cotton from point to point within the district where same is produced, as in case of removal from such district. A col? lector should not exact a fee from the tax payer for marking his cotton. RALEIGH, N. C., October 27.-A large and enthusiastic gathering as? sembled in the Court House on Sat? urday night, in response to a call , published in the city papers. It was simply an outpouring of the people, without regard to party. All politi? cal complexions being represented. The meeting was organized by elect? ing M. A. Bledsoe, president Hon. A. S. Merrimon addressed the assem? blage; his speech was long and elabo? rate, und his argument against tho congressional plan of reconstruction. A resolution was adopted, declaring devotion to the Constitution and civil liberty. Delegates were appoint? ed to a County convention, to meet hero on Thursday. NEW YORK, October 27.-As the seamer Leo, from Savannah, eutered tho East River, sue collided with the sloop David Sands, through tho care? lessness of tho crew of the latter. The sloop sunk aud three per? sons were drowued. Tho Leo was uninjured. WASHINGTON, October 27.-Tho complexion of tho Congress, which assembles on tho 21st proximo, will be: Senate-Republicans, forty-two; opposition twelve. House-Repub? licans, 144; opposition forty-nine. Proceedings were commenced to? day by Henry B. Taylor, who went South to recover property from John D. Defrees, who purchased at a con? fiscation sale. Rcvouuo receipts to-day $714,000. CHARLESTON, October 27.-Arrived yesterday-steamer Moneka, New York. At quarautine-steamer Cor tez, from New Orleans for New York, put in for coal. Off the bar-ship Mary Ogden, New York; bark Chat? tanooga, Liverpool. Sailed-steamer Alabama, New York; steamer Wilder? ness, Vera Cruz-Senor Romero soiled on tho latter. Arrived to-day-bark Harsburg, New York. AUGUSTA, October 28.-The Repub? licans held a mass meeting to-night Blodgott, Bullock, Conley and Beard are candidates for tho Convention. They made speeches, endorsing the Atlanta platform. Steps were taken to preserve order during the election. Freedmen aro coming in from the country this evening, to take part in tho election. There is no opposing candidate-tho conservatives appa? rently having determined to take no part. NEW ORLEANS, October 28.-Inter menta from yellow fever yesterday 10; to-day 16. Wolfe1? Liver Complaint Cured by Queen's Delight. rilHi? symptoms of Liver Complaint are I uneasiness and pain in thu right side, and soreness upon touch immediately under the inferior ribs; inability to he upon tho left Bide, or, if at all, a dragging sensation is produced which seriously affects respiration, causing, very often, a troublesome cough. Together with these symptoms, we perceive a coated tongue, acidity of the stomach, deficiency of per? spiration, and sometimes a sympathetic pain in the shoulder, with a great disposi? tion to sloop, and depression of spirits, and sometimes sores in the mouth or throat. Those symptoms, if permitted to continue, will eventually produce consump? tion, the mont baneiul of all diseases. Dyspepsia. The symptoms of Dyspepsia aro various; those affecting the stomach aro nausea, heart-burn, loss of appetite, disgust for food, Bomotimes a depraved appetite, senso of fulness or weight in the stomach, sinking or fluttering in the pit of the sto? mach, sour eructations, coated tongue, acidity of tho stomach, hurried and difli cult breathing, Ac. Tho sympathetic affections aro very di? versified-cold foet, pain or weakness through the limbs, swimming of the head, sudden flushes of neat, Ac. Tho uso of the QUEEN'S DELIGHT should bo persevered in until every symp? tom of Dyspepsia bas vanished, and health is entirely restored. Derangements of Liver and Stomach Aro sources of insanity. From disorder or obstruction, a morbid act ion of the sym? pathetic and other nerves follows, and the functions of tho brain are impaired and deranged; derangement there will also produce diseaso of the heart, skin, lungs and kidneys. It is owing to tho same canso that thousands die with Cholera, Bilious or Yellow Fever, and that most baneful diseaso, Consumption. Tho origin of numorouB caseB of Con? sumption is impaired digestion; and many, many cases of supposed Consumption could bo ontircly cured by tho uso of the QUEEN'S DELIGHT, as tho emaciation, debility and cough attending weakness of tho digestivo organs are so near allied to tho symptoms of Consumption, that the one diaease is frequently mistaken for the other. Notice. It is a well-established fact that fully one-half of tho female portion of our population aro seldom in tho enjoyment of good health, or, to uso their own expres? sion, "never feel well." They aro languid, devoid of all energy, extremely nervous and have no appetite. To thia class of invalids, the Queen's Delight is especially recommended. Their peculiar tonio and invigorating properties render it invalua? ble in such cases'. Thc patient should im? mediately discard all pilla and powders, as they only Weaken tho system, and resort to tho uso of tho Queen's Delight, tho inva? riable result of which will bo a Btrongand hearty constitution, a disappearance of all nervousness, a good appetite and a perfect restoration to health. Weak and delicate children aro made strong by using the Qneon'B Delight. In fact, it is a Family Medicine; it can be ad? ministered with perfect safety to a child three months old, tho most delicate female or a man of ninety.
