November, .A-COTTON.-The week ander review bas been marked bj noticeable fea taresTn the transactions of the cotton market, if we except the rigidity of holders in sustaining; their views, which has caused cautions buyers to look for thu reason-why prices Should be main? tained here, in thefffeoe of declines In other mar 1 kets, and ?he fluctuations fa gold which control to a greater or less degree all tran pact lons which : have hard money for a basis-while gold In New York has fallen from 180 to 127, and while other -controlling canses have led bears to beat down prices. While speculators discuss the probable vield of the crop, planters who have made lt know that their cotton ls as good as gold, and that the visible supply will fall far short of the accumu? lating demand of the world. The crop has been made, and whether a lon* or short one this fact appears, that it is almost entirely housed, awalt line: the easy convenience of the owners to be put upon the market. Our advices indicate that the yield will fail far short of what has been predict? ed and that consequently buyers will be obliged, in order to HU their orders, to meet the views of holders, who are stlrr tn their views as to the value and extent of the crop. SBA ISLAND.-In this grade of the staple the market may be said to have opened, there having been an increased inquiry during the past week for the fine grades of this staple. Sales of 120 bales have been effected against 70 bales last week, and prices have been fully sustained, hold? ers not desiring to part with lots un tu the market has been established. The crop ls coming in freely, and held firmly In anticipation of a de? mand, which must strengthen prices. Perhaps no one medi? cine ls se universally re? quired by everybody as a cathartic, nor was ever any before so uni? versally adopted Into nae, in-every country and among all classes, as this mild but efficient purgative PILL. The obvious reason ls, that lt is a more reliable and >far more effectual rem? edy than any other. Those who have tried lt, know that lt cured them: those who have not, know tba* it cures their neighbors and friends, and all know that what lt does once lt does always-that lt never falls through any fault or neglect of Its composition. Wc have thousands upon thousands of the certifi? cates of their remarkable cures of the following complaints, but such cures are known in every neighborhood, and we need not publish them. Adapted to all ages and conditions In all climates; containing neither calomel or any deleterious drug, they may be taken with safety by anybody. I Their sugar coating preserves them ever fresh and mattes them pleasant to take, while being purely vegetable no barm can arise from their use In any ! quantity. They operate by their powerful Influence on the internal viscera to purify the blood and stimulate it into healthy action-remove the obstructions ol the stomach, bowels, liver, and other organs ol the body, restoring their irregular action tohealth, and hy correcting, wherever they exist, such derangements as are the first origin of disease. Minute directions are given in the wrapper on the box, for thc following complaints, which these PILLS rapidly cure: For DYSPEPSIA or INDIGESTION, LISTLESSNESS, LANGUOR and Loss of APPETITE, they should be taken moderately to stimulate the stomach and restore Its healthy tone and action. For LIVER COMPLAINT aud its various symp? toms, BiLiors HEADACHE, SICK HEADACHE, JACK DTCE or GREEN SICKNESS, BILIOUS COMO and BiLiors FEVERS, they should be judiciously taken for each case, to correct the diseased action or remove the obstructions which cause it. For DYSENTERY or DIARRHOSA, but one mild dose ls generally required. For RHEUMATISM, GOUT,- GRAVEL, PALPITATION OF THE HEART, PAIN IN THE Sins, BACK and LUNGS, they should be continuously taken, as re? quired, to change the diseased action of the sys? tem. With such change those complaints dis? appear. For DROPSY and DROPSICAL SWELLINGS they shonld be taken In large and frequent doses to produce the effect of a drastic purge. For SUPPRESSION a large dose should be taken as it produces the desired effect by sympathy. ? AB a DINNER PILL, take one or two PILLS to pro? mote digestion and relieve the stomach. An occasional dose stimulates the stomach aml bowels into healthy action, restores the appetite, and invigorates the system. Hence it is often ad? vantageous where no serious derangement exists. One who feels tolerably weil, often Ands that a dose of these PILLS makes him feel decidedly bet? ter, from their cleansing and renovating effect on thc digestive apparatus. DR. J. C. That any sick man survived the treatment - of fifty years ago, most be consid?r?e a proof that haman beings are very bard to kin. The lancet, calomel, cantharldes and drastic pur? gatives were then the order of the day. The phy slcian played into the hands of the apothecary, and the unfortunate patient was drenched morn? ing, noon and night with prostrating' medicines. We Uve In a more rational and conscientious era. The importance of supporting Nature in its eonfllot with disease ts now understood. Complaints in themselves weakening are no longer aggravated by artificial deple (lon. They are met with TOKIOS that rally the vital powers and enable them to de? feat the enemy. Chief among these allies of Sa? ture, la its battles with sickness, is PLANTATION BITTERS. . -- This wonderful vegetable restorative is the sheet ? * . anchor of the feeble and debilitated. As a oordial for tho aged and deoreptd it has no equal among stomachics. As a remedy for the nervous weakness to which tho tender sex are especially BB bj set, rt is superseding every other stimulant and nervine, In all climates, tropical, temperate or frigid, it sots as a specific In every species of dtsordei which undermines the bodily strength ?ad breaks down the animal spirits. Wherever ii is Introduced it becomes a standard arti ck -a medicinal staple. Druggists, although theil profit upon it ls smalt,- find lt absolatwtj necessary to keep a/ preparation for wines everybody Inquires, and for which nobody will accept a substitute. It ls to-day the most popular medicine In the civilized world. Extensively as it is advertised, Rs best ad? vertisement ls the beneficial result which uniformly follows Its use. Every bottle sold In? sures the sale of at least half a dozen more. Un? like other stimulants, lt braces and fortifies the system without exciting undue cerebral aotiou, The cheering effect which it produces upon the mind ls not momentary, but permanent. There is no subsequent depression. It does not, oe ls the case with all other stimuli, beget a craving for ex .Hants. On thc other hand, lt soothes and calms the nerves,comblning,8trango as the anomaly may seem, the qualities of a sedative and gentle ano? dyne with those of a tonic and mngorant. The perfect purity of all its ingredients, thar admirable adaptation to the purposes they are intended to subserve, the judicious pro? portions in which they are combined, and the scientific skill with which they are mend? ed, render this famous article at owee the most potent and the most harmless of an ] tonics and alteratives. j Sold by au Druggists. deer lyr rpHE CIECUS OF T-HE PERIJD!^ CIRCUS!
