When the houso was vacated tboy had free use of tho well, but when occupied they wcro not permitted to obtain water oven for drinking purposes. To keep tho house vacant was evi dently to thoir interest, and thoy took up tho ghost method, which was a "success" until a man who had common sense enough uot to be lieve in ghosts agreed to occupy tho houso and ascertain for himsoll whether thoro wero such visitants.
