There were 37 n8W applications for pensions in Fexingfcon county this year, according to the statement of the Lexington county pension board. Sunday, the 8th, there died at th3 Confederate Soldiers' home in Columbia the oldest veterans ever admitted to the institution, J._F. DeMerrit, aged 94; and also Joseph Gidier, aged 84.
