When informed of Kersey's snicide, Miss Timmerman, a pretty girl of seventeen, swooned away, and could ! not be revived for some time. They were to have been married several months ago, but Kersey was hurt in a runaway accident in Atlanta, and when taken'to the hospital asked friends to write to Miss Timmerman and inform her of the accident. The friends who were entrusted with the message failed to send the i . news to Miss Timmerman, and when ! the wedding day arrived, and Kersey failed to appear, the girl believed him false and the engagement was broken off. v Kersey went to Tampa a few days C ago, but failed to effect a reconcilia- li tion.
